AKTOR FM is responsible for providing fully integrated facilities management services to the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Complex and the Duty Free Warehouses in the Hamad International Airport in Doha, Qatar.
The new airport is a state-of-the-art aviation project, occupying more than 22 sq. km of land area on the Arabian Peninsula. The Main Terminal is the largest building in Doha and the Aircraft Maintenance Hangar is the largest free span hangar in the world.
The Aircraft Maintenance Hangar Complex will function as the central maintenance hub for the airline’s fleet and consists of the following facilities:
Hangars A,B including integral workshops and offices
This unique facility with a total footprint of 168,000 m2, constitutes a universal pioneering structure, standing at 500m long, 200m wide and 45m high. This hangar can accommodate
simultaneously up to 14 aircraft, including the new Airbus A380 and the next generation Boeing 787. Special cutting-edge systems facilitate the maintenance of the aircraft along with auxiliary and utility buildings, infrastructure, parking, roads and underground services.
The two smaller hangars covering an area of 30,000 m2 can accommodate 3 wide body and 4 narrow body aircraft respectively, along with supporting infrastructure and parking. Hangar modules, offices and shops have been designed to maintain a 30oC interior temperature limit. The hangars provide storage and light exterior and interior maintenance as well as minor repairs, supplemented with pre-conditioned air, service and jacking capabilities.
Moreover, our company delivers total facilities management services in the Duty Free Warehouse, Staff Access Control Facility and Consolidated Rental Car Facility of the Hamad International Airport.
Within the service framework, AKTOR FM provides preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance, cleaning, security and waste management services as well as condition based monitoring and help desk function on a 24/7/365 basis.
